Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. The present sportscaster is for ESPN who is also an anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She started working at ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from age nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her land her first job as a producer assistant at Univision Miami at which time she assisted the production of programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. They hired her as reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. She also worked as a journalist with KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. The stories she covered were about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking throughout Texas as well as Mexico. In addition, she covered anchors of sports and weather. She was then the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given higher responsibilities. The pieces she produced were on Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and the NBA Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports program Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. The show was promoted to be a sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The anchor also worked in a similar role for the magazine show Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is more mature than her younger sister. The family left in 1992 Mexico to the US and moved to Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter in 1995. Her mother married with a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. The holiday in the summer that she lived with her sibling living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured an employment. Still a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly what she wanted to do for her life, Antonietta was able to visit The University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her requirements. It was discovered that she enjoyed the university as well as the fact that it offered the major she wanted. She finished her education and was accepted to the University to pursue a degree in Media studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was member of her class, developed a lasting relationship with her. He guided her to become confident, and his love of journalism greatly influenced her and she in turn, strived to live up to his standards and never failed him.
